I agreee with the masses that have pointed out that an ATC is the
best choice...on the proactive front, has the NATA, or any other
state organization or well connected individuals/major colleges
approached the media (ESPN, CBS, NBC, Fox) with ideas (or pitches)
for segments that deal with injury management, treatment, prevention,
etc (our domains if you will). If not probably would be a good
idea. Just my 2c...

I recall seeing a specific announcement that the NATA was approaching
some media outlets regarding proper terminology, etc. So far I've
seen little to no progress in sports broadcasters' use of AT
terminology. I would expect that these professionals whose job is to
communicate would wish to do so with the utmost accuracy. That is to
say, if we reach them with the information, I believe many of them
would make an attempt to use correct terminology.
