NavBar searches failing; dropping slash in URL

Hi Robert,

Thanks for writing - unfortunately this is a known bug that
hasn't
been fixed yet. (meaning, externally-publishing blogs whose
URLs end
in a filename, rather than a /). The workaround is to
disable the
NavBar, which I see you've done.

I've asked one of our engineers to raise the priority on it,
and will
let you know once it's been fixed. In the meantime you can
roll your
own search box, like we've done on the Google Blog(s):

<h3>Search the Google Blog</h3>
        <form action="http://www.google.
com/search" method="get">
          <input name="sitesearch"
value="googleblog.blogspot.com"
type="hidden">
          <input name="q" size="15"
type="text">
          <input value="Go"
name="submit" type="submit">
        </form>

(though this would probably search your entire site, not
necessarily
your blog specifically)

Thanks for your patience,
-E
