AFIAK, and I used to do in my photoblog, you have to work
with
javascript just too much! actually, you must use
document.write() method of javascript to handle appearance
and
availablity of posts. OTOH, as you can use <blogger>
tag, more than
one time in blogger's templates, you can handle thumbnails
and list
of everything so easily! for instance, to creating a
thumnail list of
your 5 recent photos, you can set that 5 posts appears in
the first
page, but via use of javascript, write just one post in
first <blogger>
tag which is used for main photo (post), and again via use
of javascript,
write the thumbnail (and probably a link to the related
post) of all the
5 posts. as a simple hack, as in the thumbs' list you just
need the
photo's URL, you can push it in Link part of the post.
