Hi deb, I've had chronic constipation myself for years. the type that evacuates once a week, sometimes in ten days. I used to get sick at the 7th of no elimination, regular for me was every five days. But with prayers and searching for advise, im now eliminating every day. I have discovered that by simply dringking 2 glasses of water first thing in the morning and waiting while walking around or sitting down for 20 to 30 minutes, before taking a meal, it makes you eliminate, just like that! i discovered this coz i had to take my enzyme pills on an empty stomach in the morning for my fibroids. And also eating prunes althroughout the day, 5 at a time, also made me eliminate. And lastly, i started taking magnesium citrate, w/c is a more absorbable form of magnesium. all these worked far much better than just taking fibers alone. I had a similar experience with psyllium and other fibers. You still need these fibers but it has to be in combination of large amount
s of fluids
and enzymes,plus good fats, like olive oil. Hope you could try these rather simple but effective steps. May it help free you from suffering with constipation. God bless. - Jeni
