UDP port?

Hello everybody,

netstat -l and lsof show me, that caudium has opened port
udp:33337 on
my machine. What is the purpose of this port? Can I block it
from the
outside?

If I had to guess, I'd say it's either the SNMP daemon (less
likely)  
or the DNS listener (more likely). If the first is true, I'd
say you  
could certainly block it, if the second, only block it if
your names  
ervers are inside.

In general this ports doesn't stay very long opened.

It is used for example when caudium is resolving a
hostname...
