That's an interesting angle. I heard that twelve hours was
not long enough
to organize the attack, but who knows? I am skeptical of the
idea that they
knew in advance of Cheney's presence. They said he was the
target, but they
could have learned it easily enough. If they knew in
advance, why would they
advertise the fact that someone high up in the Afghan
government is a
traitor? Doesn't make sense, but who knows. Maybe they
figure the PR value
of saying they have informants that far inside is worth
exposing those
people to capture.
