Just give up arguing with Sam.

What Obama is saying is "Racism exists.  It's
unfortunate, but it does. 
Here are some examples.  This is seriously dividing this
country.  We need 
to understand the underlying causes of racism, some of which
are item1, 
item2, etc., and through understanding these causes, come
together, united 
as a nation and not a collection of races, with the common
goal of removing 
the environments in which racism breeds."

Sam hears "You are all racist, but it's OK because
everyone is doing it."

It's like someone attending that speech, waiting until it is
over and then 
yelling "Yeah, well, it takes one to know one, you
racist bastard!"

He can't see past the issue far enough to even begin to
think of trying to 
find a solution.
