So Sam aside, does it seem like a long overdue speech? I
think he took
an issue some were trying to spin for political gain and not
only put
it into contect but transcended it.

We'll see how the speech resonates with the American People
though.
There are some that will see Black man, and hear White
racism...and
will hear nothing further.

I thought it was honest and well thought out. I believe he
was sincere. I
actually enjoyed listening to the speech. I usually avoid
political
speeches of all kinds. I think it will reach a lot of
people. It would be
interesting to have someone in office who actually cares
about race
relations beyond how much support they can get by keeping
the races divided
and pandering to them individually.

I have been disenfranchised with both sides of the isle for
a long time now.
The Democrats have been disappointing me as much as the
Republicans these
days. This speech was something a little fresh, you know?

I think his speech writers did a good job. It does not make
me like the
man any more or any less really. I just feel his speech
writers spun it
pretty well. In my years of attending Southern Baptist
services in Texas
and California, not once have my pastors interjected their
personal
political views into their sermons, and they never engaged
in any kind
of hate mongering the way that "Reverend" Wright
did. All they ever did
was preach the Word of God, which is what they are supposed
to do.

The way I see it, this is the beginning of a long line of
his dirty
laundry being aired. The man seems like a Boy Scout and to
be honest, if
a politician does not have some skeletons in the closet then
there is
something wrong. Everyone has secrets. At least Clinton and
McCain have
had years of this treatment by the press already, so now it
is Obama's turn.

Of course this is just my opinion.
