Nope, wrong.

You can take out a tank with a handful of decent explosive,
a sock, and some
heavy grease.

You can take out a helicopter with one or more thin metal
rods shot out of
homemade mortar tubes using some smokeless propellant
(modern gunpowder).

You can stop a hardened humvee with a wheel snare.

You can take out a jet while it sits on the tarmac.

You can pick-off an armored soldier with one well-placed
round.

It's just that it's a whole lot easier and safer to do all
this using
military-grade weapons.

BTW, you should all know that South Africa is a country
where it's illegal
for civilians to own weapons that even fire a military
caliber, which is why
Glock sells its .380 over there.

And we all want to follow South Africa's examples on things,
right?

Nope, wrong.

Adam...

Take the number of people that may know 1/4 of what you just
said, and
how to do it.
now take the US Armed Forces. Battle
hardened...ready...fully
equipped. It's completely a pipedream and nothing more than
ideological philosophy to think that the Citizens could
'take back'
their country and go toe to toe with the Military. There
will be a few
groups if any that would be in any position to do so.

When the Patriot Act was changed to allow capture of
American Citizens
without habeas corpus, when FBI documents were released
noting that
there actually were a few American Citizens who were
investigated,
arrested under the Patriot Act in circumstances which had
nothing to
do with Terrorism, I didn't see any Americans marching on
the White
House with Rocket Launchers and M16s. They sat and accepted
it, in the
name of Security.

In the name of whatever, the fact of the matter is that it
was accepted.

If you're waiting for some sudden shift overnight where you
realise
you are disenfranchised: again, an ideological dreamworld.

It doesn't happen that way.

It's a slow creep over a period of years.

It's one rationalised Acceptance after the next, for all the
right reasons.

By the time you sit up and take notice, you will realise
that the
majority of the population would have been conditioned to
just go
along with the status quo, so you'll have little if any
support. You
will be Anti American, you will be Un Patriotic.

Then you know what will happen by that time? You'll be
labelled a
terrorist. Under the latest Homeland Security laws.

And you'll argue fervently that you are actually a True
American.

But Fox News will call you a terrorist. And CNN will call
you a
Terrorist. And MSNBC will call you a Terrorist.

And 90% of 'your people' will think you are a Terrorist.
Another 5%
will be undecided, another 2% will 'secretly' agree with
you, and
perhaps a final 3% will actively try to make 'the truth'
known...and
then they'll be locked up as aiding terrorism by the other
97%.

Sure this may be an exaggerated and fanciful expose on the
surface,
but track the laws that have been passed over the last 8
years, and
those that are being considered and on the table, and you'll
realise
that these valuable freedoms which you claim to cherish have
already
been greatly reduced.

Your very right to Privacy, or lack thereof, affects
whatever chances
you might have of 'taking back your country' and of being
'Tread on'.

The fact that right now everything you type to this list can
be read
by an FBI Agent with no judicial oversight and collected
neatly in a
nice big database reduces any chance of you protecting your
rights as
a citizen of the US.

That's the reality, no ideology there.

That's why your right to Privacy is so important, it goes
hand in hand
with this Second Amendment about Guns and Militias and being
able to
overthrow a corrupt government.

Right to Privacy = Citizens Power.
No Privacy = Government Ultimate Power.

Those rights, legislations and fundamental decisions made at
the
levels of the Supreme Courts and the Whitehouse have more
impact on
your ability to not be 'Tread on' than being able to own a
rocket
launcher.

The spiderweb is right there infront you, but the threads
are so
slender that maybe it's a bit difficult to see.

It doesn't happen Overnight. It never happens overnight.
Look into the
History of Hitler's rise to power in Germany...it never
happens
overnight. It is a slow and steady creep and little things
happen
along the way that seem to be of no consequence, easily
justified and
rationalised events.

The message is alway sweet and sensible and fair, given the
circumstance.

You cannot fight your Government militarily, Adam, no matter
how many
weapons you collect, or how good a shot you are.

The fight for your Rights, for your Freedoms is going on
right now,
right this very minute in the courts, in the legislations
that are
being passed in your country.

And you know...you admitted it yourself a while back, when
you noted
how deathly afraid you are of the police, of the legal
system, of
saying or doing anything to put you on the Government's
radar. You.
A Citizen.
Afraid of your Government.
Afraid to lose your Freedoms and your Rights.
