Oh!  Interesting thing I don't know if anyone else knows
about Red Dawn:
they edited the master copy to diminish the argument against
gun
registration.

In the scene where the Cuban commander tells his officer to
go to city hall
and find all the gun registration forms, they cut out the
next thing he
originally said: "Go to their homes, and kill
them."

If any of you can find an original VHS copy from the
earliest days, you'll
see what I mean.

And, there was a major scene that was deleted. A tank
rolling up to a 
McDonald's restaurant where enemy soldiers were eating. It
is assumed 
that the reason was that a few weeks before the release,
there was a 
mass murder in a McDonald's in San Ysidro, Ca.
