Automating Windows XP Pro file explorer windows.

Can anybody provide me a simple to implement idea on how I
could create 
some kind of widget, batch file or something that would open
File 
Explore windows on my Win XP Pro workstation to 5 specific
directories, 
ideally laid out in a nice tile format down one side of my
monitor?

The scripting capabilities of AutoHotKey could do this
pretty easily -
amazingly powerful once you dig in a bit:

You can even export scripts as self-contained EXE files
which will let them
work on machines without the program installed.
