I'm about to dive into Flex3 and wanted to get some ideas on
where to start, good tutorials, books or training.

well (shameless plug) we are currently working on the first
issue of
Flex Authority, which will have a format and content similar
to FAQU.
Meanwhile, however, I happen to have this up from checking
