I have a AMD X2 4400Mhz on a ASUS MB. ASUS has a
utility called ASUS Probe which, when running, provides temperatures, fan
speeds, voltages, and alarms for set thresholds. Lately I have been
getting a low voltage alarm for the 3.3v. It first started right after
power up I would get a notice and after a few seconds it would stop.
Recently, I have been getting them when the system is heavily loaded. I
have tracked the low voltage and instead of being 3.3v it stays around 3.024
when the system is idle and drops to 2.94 when the system is loaded. What
does the 3.3v power and the next question is, do I need a new power supply and
if so how long do I have before damage is done to system
components.
