| I have some commodore equipment in a closet somewhere that
needs a good home if anyone knows of one. I should have one or two 128s,
1571 disk drive(s) and I might still have the dot matrix printer. I spent
so much time playing games and programming on the commodore that I just can't
bring myself to just dump them in the trash. All I need is a mailing
address.

Yep
and I'll make one, I have the parts here already - have had that link for a few
years now as well as some others.
I think you're referring to the XE-1541 Cable. Tr y
here: http://sta.c64.org/xe1541.html
Or look on Ebay for one...
They DO work...i have one (not connected currently) and was
able to transfer files without any problems. Ran my PC to a
2nd-generation 1541 drive. Dont know if I tried it with th 1581..but
also worked with a 1571 (in 1541-mode).

All ANSI anyway.
With the cgterm prog, you dont need the Commodore to
get there...al though I have a few of those sitting in storage
anyway.
Just thought i'd pass it along to the rest of the "geeks"
as my wife calls me.

Haven't had my Commies out on eons - maybe this summer I'll have
room to get the Vic 20, C64 and C128d out again, maybe even build the
cable to be able to get the info from floppies to a PC then onto
CDrom.
For those of you who used to do anything BBS-wise with
Commodore 64/128 etc...
Check this for a "C64 term program" to
connect & be able to see the
graphics.

| Are
they C128's that are all in one with keyboard or the C128D's with the separate
keyboard? The 1571 I could use here on my C128D. I'll email you direct on
this.
