I think I solved it by installing the Intel
Software Dr. Watson sent me to oca.microsoft.com then to intel.com. Since it is
rare I will not know for a long time. But assume it is fixed. I see one of
the HDD Controler enteries in Dev Mgr driver version date is a year
newer.
Now just this non-system disk issue

If you're getting a BSOD you must be getting a
Stop error.
You can check the error message number
