Automate maintenance tasks?

Hi,
I'm an IT intern for a small company. I'm always trying
to find ways
to make things as easy as possible for users. Is there a
program
available or feature within Windows XP that would allow me
to create
automated maintenance tasks that a user could just click and
it would
run? For example, let's say I want a user to defragment
their disk, run
adaware, and delete their internet cache. Is there a way to
automate
that process with a program? Any tips, ideas, or suggestions
would be
greatly appreciated.

Nick,

Most of those issues can be resolved from a simple batch
file. I know
defrag can be run from the command line with "defrag
c:". According to
a forum for Ad-aware, it can be run using the following

"c:\program files\Ad-Aware SE
Plus\Ad-Aware.exe" /smart +silent +update
+nice-2 +auto

although I haven't tested it since I do not have it
installed. I
imagine there's a command line to clear the cache.

Best of luck,

Wags

Yes, a batch file is one way... BUT he did indicate
"Automate" - which
in my books meaning it does run without the user having to
do anything.
And, yes, this is very possible. In fact, that is what the
windows task
scheduler is for!!!
(start menu/accessories/system tools, task scheduler)
