Must disable then enable network adapter

Hi All,

Every hour or so, my internet explorer seems to lose
connection.

I will get the standard "page cannot be
displayed" window, as soon as
I go and
disable the network connection and then re-enable it, it
works (for
about another 2 hours, until I have to again
disable/enable).

I have a cable modem (the co-ax cable is not split), running
through a
wireless router. My pc is hard wired to the back of the
wireless
router. I have bought a new router and a new network card
thinking it
was a hardware error, but so far no postive results. I also
tunred off
the power management feature for the network card and still
not
results.

 Any clue ????
Anyone???

try using Mozilla Firefox for your browsing, it could be
something
effecting IE.

I get that trouble, but it's because of my wireless router,
as I need
to reset the router, then my network card to re-establish
the
connection, but if you are wired, it could be a different
story.

If you happen to have one of those linksys wireless routers
like me,
they are pretty chep, and they tend to seize up if used for
extended
periods of time under a moderate load. just reset them (or
unplug them
for five secods) that should get things working for another
while

Yeah, I suspect its IE too. Just kind of bugs me really, I
can always
get it to work, but if anyone know what specific issues in
IE could
bring this about, Id like to know.

Thanks.

If it is indeed IE that's giving the problem, then by ALL means, try Firefox.  In fact, try it anyway.  You may just like it better and you probably won't have as many problems.
