Dear Computer User,
I frequent over 20 places where me and others help you, the
average
computer user, fix problems with your systems. I cannot
speak for
these other places nor do I intend to, however I'd like to
take this
moment to mention a constant problem I have: no feedback.
I'm not asking you to compliment my answers, nor to
criticize them, but
once I've given you several answers, if or when one of them
fixes your
problem, PLEASE let me know. You don't have to thank me,
but when the
next person comes along and needs help, it would be nice to
know what
has worked and what hasn't. When I suggest 3 different
fixes, and you
either just say "thanks" or don't reply at all, I
don't know what
worked or even if anything worked at all. I'm not trying to
gloat, but
please, let me know what, if anything, that I say works, and
what
doesn't, so that I an help others in the future without
needing to do
as much troubleshoooting.
Two of the posts I've made here alone are issues I've helped
with
before on other forums over a year ago. Both of them never
gave me an
answer before as to what worked and what didn't, and now a
year later
I'm re-roubleshooting this, and you nice folks are paying
for their
lazyness.
Please, just let me know when something works. For that
matter, let me
know when something doesn't. It'll save me and someone else
the effort
of trying it later.
Thank you in advance,
Tack Furlo
