Recently, my box has often had a problem regarding the
information
displayed in the task manager. The problem is regarding the
amount of
CPU usage. For example, right now the CPU usage for
"System Idle
Process" is 99% and the total CPU usage shown both at
the bottom of the
task manager and on the graph is 48%. It is my impression
that if the
System Idle Process is at 99 the total usage should be 1 and
if the
total usage is 48 then the System Idle Process should be 52.

My research has turned up a number of others who have the
same problem,
but no answers. I have run the latest McAfee virus scan and
LavaSoft
AdAware scans with nothing out of the ordinary showing up.
My system
information follows. If anyone knows what is going on here
I would
greatly appreciate any help, solution, advice, etc.

Thanks in advance,
Don

Is your computer running slow or having problems? If not,
it's probably
just a Windows bug. It's nothing to worry about if your
system idle
process shows 99, that's probably more accurate than the
other number.
