I removed and reinstalled NikonScan and updated Vuescan. I re-seated
the firewire card and jiggled all the plug connections. Somehow one
of those operations seems to have cured the focus and line problems.
A new problem has presented itself, however: With Nikon software, the
negative scans normally, but I get a message that "Post processing has
failed," and the image won't save. I have used the same software for
years with my Nikon V, but I have never before seen this message. I
am scanning 6x6 negs at 4000 dpi. Any ideas? This appears to be a
software, not hardware, issue.
Don, I have contacted Adorama about the manual. I have not heard back
from them.
