Greg - DO you feel that the wet scanning results are worth the extra
work?

If you have something that you want the highest quality of scan with
out Newton rings and without glass that is a diffuser, yes. If you have
older film that may not be in pristine condition (scratches and other
blemishes), yes.

But I'm not the one that has to be convinced because I have already
made up my mind. Will I scan every frame wet? Absolutely not! Many
frames that I shoot are not worth the effort, and a dry scan will show
me that well enough.

The glass holder may keep the film flat, but it also softens the scan
because one side of the glass is diffuse. This may be useful for films
that have very large grain, but counter productive for films that have
extremely fine grain.
