Have you done ALL of the XP service pack installs???
Have you got the latest drivers (specific to your computer)
for the Firewire interface? Does the Firewire interface show
up as installed and happy in Device Manager?
I've had no issues getting NikonScan 4 installed on XP.
Also: root around in the Documents and Settings folder(s)
and delete any node labeled Nikon (and of course, all sub-
nodes.)
