Experience with DHCP reservations for SERVERS?

How many people use DHCP reservations for servers as opposed
to static
configurations?

I've generally seen static configurations for servers and
DHCP for
workstations, but I suspect there is probably a significant
number of
environments using DHCP for both server and workstation
configurations.

We are considering going with a new policy in which no
static
configurations will be used on any unix or Microsoft
servers.  But
before we do, I'd like to find out what sort of experiences
people
have had when following such a policy.

Anybody?
