What is UUDI, in ECF ??

What is the uudi, in an ECF?  What is its role?  And, how is
its value
calculated?  Can there be more than one uudi of the same
value across
a system?

The UUID is a unique identifier to enable EiffelStudio to uniquely identify a
library. We decided not to rely on the path because people may choose to
reference the same library with different path, in other words, you cannot have
the same uuid for different libraries (if you do so, you will get a warning from
EiffelStudio).


When you create a configuration file from EiffelStudio it will generate for you
a new UUID using our UUID library in $ISE_EIFFEL/library/uuid.
