I only read this list on the Yahoo! groups page, and not via email. I
read this page at my leisure, and don't want it spamming my inbox.
Heck, I'm not even sure which address I would use to read this list
(the one Yahoo! thinks I use doesn't even exist anymore).
So, unless there is a nice web-based interface to an Eiffel users or
developers list, I'd prefer to keep the Yahoo! groups page. There are
no problems with lost messages when you're reading from the page
itself. I looked at the es-users group just the other day, and the
web-based interface to the archive was very clunky. It reminded me
too much of reading an old usenet newsgroup, and I thought we were
past that in terms of design.
If the traffic on here dies down, so be it, but I'll stay subscribed
until it goes away. If everything migrates to es-users or whatever,
and the interface doesn't get better, I'll probably only look at it
every once and a while, or if I have questions. That's what I do with
EiffelRoom, which I look at probably once every two weeks. Of course,
that's mainly because it doesn't seem to get the traffic this site gets.
