I am currently using Endnote v.9, with Microsoft Office
2003, for
Windows XP OS.
As an interactive feature with MS Word, Endnote v.9
automatically
updates the references after each new added citation in the
body text. I
conducted a series of Japanese interviews that I would now
like to
include in a separate section of my "references"
at the end of the
manuscript. These individuals are identified by the
positions they held
at the time of the interview, and where they themselves had
chosen an
English translation for their rank, that translation is
used.
My question is two-fold:
(1) Is it possible to create a separate section for
"Interviews" that
can be automatically updated without having them mixed with
the other
"references"
or "bibliography"? Will this bifurcation create
a problem with the main
"bibliography/reference" section?
(2) Regarding the "reference type," does Endnote
v.9 have a specific
category that can be used in lieu of
"Interviews"? I notice that
"personal communication" is an option. What do
people in this forum
commonly use for academic publications that cite personal
interviews?
I look forward to any advice this forum can supply.
