CWYW will not turn off

I'm using Word 2004 for Mac v11.2, EndNote 9.0.0, on a Dual
2.3GHz G5
running OS X 10.4.7.
I cannot turn off CWYW, either by accessing the preference
dialogue from
within Word or EN.
Anyone encountered this?

I just trashed the ~/Library/Preferences/
com.ThomsonResearchSoft.EndNote.plist to see if this would
help. It did
NOT.
