How do you want them numbered in the final book? Each
chapter starting
with "1"? Or continuous? - continuous would be
weird, because then if
the same reference was used in chapter 1 and 2, would it be
listed in
both, and with different numbers? If the former, I would
create separate
files for each chapter and then merge the files (unlinking
the fields,
or making sure CWYW was off). I don't have any idea what
happens if you
try to reformat them in this combined state (but it probably
isn't
pretty).

Subject: Entering Citations for Book Chapters

Hello I am working on a manuscript consultation with someone
who is
working on a book which contains several chapters. My
question is:
because this author would like chapter citations to be
presented at the
end of each chapter, what is the best way to proceed with
using EndNote?
At the moment, if I add EndNote references, the references
automatically
go to the end of the document, instead of at the end of the
chapter.

Should I create separate files for all the chapters and then
add EndNote
in hope that when I merge the files, that the numbering will
be ok? Your
assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks You!
