When the formatting & punctuation gets complicated
sometimes it is
easier just to write it in plain text exactly as you want it
(without
EndNote).
To get the linked citation in the bibliography I insert it
(using
EndNote) after the real text ends. When creating final
versions for
submission to a journal (at the stage of removing EndNote
codes) these
blind citations can be deleted, along with any other private
notes to
yourself you may have made.
