I think you have to use your word processor's 'find'
function to do this. In the simplest case, if your in-text
citations always include the first author, then search for
occurrences of this. If your in-text citations are
unformatted, you could search for the EndNote reference
record number. If the citations are formatted as endnotes or
footnotes, you might have to search for this format in your
document (e.g. for MS Word, using the 'special' characters
on the find dialogue, you would search for 'footnote mark'
or 'endnote mark').
