Hello,
I am using Endnote X with Windows XP, American Journal of
Political
Science style. I am having a difficulty with citing chapters
(sections)
of edited books in footnotes. I need to use short forms of
repeated
citations but once I cite an edited book and after that, a
chapter in
this edited book, the Endnote does not use the short form
but takes it
as a totally new citation. For example, this is how Endnote
cites:
1. George Smith, ed., American History (Washington DC: ABC
Publishers,
2000).
2. Michael Brown, "Presidents" in George Smith,
ed., American History
(Washington DC: ABC Publishers, 2000), pp. 20-40.
BUT I need the citation appears as follows:
1. George Smith, ed., American History (Washington DC: ABC
Publishers,
2000).
2. Michael Brown, "Presidents" in Smith, ed.,
American, pp. 20-40.
What should I do?
Thanks
Tuba
