Hi
Your records must have the same language code somewhere
(older versions of EN don't have a specific field, choose
for example custom 1), e.g. en for english, fr for
french....
You'll also need to adapt your connection files / import
filters in order to keep this information (by default, EN7
PubMed connection file doesn't import some fields)

Objet : MARC format and language searches
Dear list,
I'm a new user of Endnote undertaking a PhD. I've exhausted
both Google and the Help Viewer in my search for a way to
search Endnote files by language. I've been able to use MARC
language codes and the Z39.50 user attributes to interrogate
a remote catalogue for records defined by language in MARC
format, but I've not been able to do the same within my own
.enl files. I'd very much like to be able to undertake this
sort of search as it would make my research far easier, but
my trawls of connection files, import filters et al have
been fruitless. I'm beginning to drive the IT people up the
wall, so some technically very specific advice would be most
welcome.
Many apologies if I have missed something blindingly
obvious, but also many thanks in advance.
