You may want to look at the latest version of Microsoft
OneNote (i.e.
OneNote 2007). This package, like most of Microsoft's
software has,
divided support. But it may suit your needs well. I use it
for keeping
track of my notes.

Subject: Research Notes
I am considering my research software options as I enter a
doctoral
program.
One thing I am trying to find is a good piece of software
for keeping my
research notes.
As I have looked around Endnote - unless I am missing
something - I do
not see it as an option for keeping track of notes -
quotations,
summaries, various notes on reading.
It looks great for keeping my bibliography in order.
Any thoughts?
