If your university has a site license for EndNote, then you
automatically have access to EndNote Web. Just go to
www.myendnoteweb.com to set up your account. The first time
that you do
this, you must be on a computer with your university's IP
address (i.e.
a computer on campus). After that, you can access it
anywhere, although
you need to access it from a university computer at least
once every 12
months to maintain your account.
You keep your references in "folders". There is a
"Manage My Folders"
function that allows you to make a folder available to other
users. You
just have to enter their email addresses.
You can easily transfer references between EndNote X or X1
and EndNote
Web. In EndNote X, you use the "Transfer
References" command on the
"Tools" menu. In EndNote X1, this command has been
given a clearer name:
it's labelled "EndNote Web". This command allows
you to transfer
references from EndNote to EndNote Web or vice versa.
