Hi, Michael. Thanks for your note. Sorry that I'm just
thanking you
now/responding. I couldn't connect yesterday.

So this is a REALLY silly question, but how do I "clear
the information
in the templates"? I have a reference type, but I can't
see a way to
delete it. Right-clicking on it doesn't yield a cut/delete
option and
nor are there any non-greyed-out cut/delete options in the
edit menu.

Somewhere on this page, there is probably a DELETE REFERENCE
TYPE button
and it's probably blinking but I'm not seeing it.

Hi Barbara,
Clear the information in the templates (citation, footnote,

bibliography) for the reference type you want to
"delete", and save and
close. The blank entries will disappear next time you open
the style,
and the references of that reference type will be handled by
the
"generic" template.

Subject: removing a Reference Type from a customized Output
Style

Hi, everyone. I'm using EndNote X on Windows.

I'm editing a new Output Style. In doing so, I added a
Reference Type
that now I don't want to use. Do you know how I can remove
the unwanted
Reference Type from my customized Output Style?
