Can't help with the idiosyncrasies. Unless other listers
have
solutions, please report the annoyances to suggestions from
the
endnote.com website for us all.
You should be able to close the multiple record windows with
the
shift,ctrl W command

Subject: Spell Checking
Regarding the Spell Checking feature ( Control-Y), that we
now have in
Endnote, which I love, I have two issues:
First, my database of more than 6,000 records (with a lot of
non-English
language words) goes back before this Spell Check feature
was added to
Endnote. And there is apparently no way to Spell Check more
than 10
records at a time. And that is very hard to do so in any
systematic
way. How can I Spell Check the 6,000 records in a speedier
and
organized fashion??
Additionally, I cannot find in the Help file anyway to close
those 10
open records (that I am Editing) in a single click. I have
to close
them each, one at a time.
Even worse is the "Check Spelling" window that
pops up with "Not in
Dictionary:" messages. It jumps around the screen,
bouncing around the
center for a while, then moving to the upper left, and
sometimes back to
the center. This means that I have to spend much more time
focusing on
the small screen rather than just Adding words to my
dictionary, since
most are correct, but not in an English Language
Dictionary.
How can I stop the jumping screen?
Many thanks,
Norman
