I upgraded from Endnote X to X1 and now experience the same
problem when
I try to use direct export from EBSCOHost. The dialog box
is blank.
I get around it by using EBSCO's e-mail feature to send
myself the
citations in an attached text file, then I manually import
them. It
would be nice of course if it hadn't broke in the first
place - it used
to work just fine prior to the upgrade to X1.

Subject: Direct Export on OVID MEDLINE
I recently had EndNote X installed on a new computer
(running Windows
XP).
After running a search on OVID MEDLINE, I attempted to use
OVID's Direct
Export to download the citations. However, when the
"Choose Destination"
box appeared, it was blank (i.e., EndNote wasn't available
as a choice).
I'm using IE 6.0 as my browser. How do I get OVID (or IE or
my computer)
to recognize that I have EndNote installed and available for
Direct
Export?
