Using Endnote with a RefMan-formatted manuscript?

A colleague of mine would like to switch from RefMan to
EndNote, but
worries that he will have difficulty working with
manuscripts that have
already been formatted with RefMan.

Can EndNote read or interpret Word files, say, that have
been formatted
using RefMan? If not, is there a simple way to convert them?
Or would he
have to replant each reference using his new EndNote
library?
