Jack F., in Karachi, asked this:
I want to create a database like PubMed for our Webpage.
Can anyone
help me or give me a clue to which software/programme I
should be using.
This is extremely important for me.
Thank you.
____
and in a separate email to him, I responded like this:
I saw your question in the EndNote discussion-list.
I think you should first carefully define your terms, and
the goals.
Do you really need a searchable database?
Or
Would a list of references do nicely
Or
Would a LINK to a Pubmed search work just fine...
Once you know exactly what you want, then it would be
possible to talk
about how to do it.
Go here:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/site
s/entrez?Db=pubmed&Cmd=DetailsSearch&Ter
m=karachi%5BAll+Fields%5D
or, if that fails for some reason, here is the same thing
expressed in a
shorter way:
http://tinyurl.com/2xwv2o
a>
... and note that it did a Pubmed search.
And if you used that same URL 3 days or 3 months or 3 years
from now,
there might be NEW REFERENCES, so it's nice in that it's not
"time-
dependent..."
