No automatic way in Endnote, but if you search for
".pdf" or ".doc"
(don't have to specify a specific field if using windows
file type
criteria), the references that match will be selected, and
you can edit
the custom or label field of them all at once, to say
"attached pdf" and
do it again for ".doc" to say "attached
pdf or other doc" or other doc".
Alternatively, sort on the "image/pdf" field in
the display window, so
they are all at the top (might have to click twice) and
select those
with the paperclips, hide the others and edit the field
(using the
"change or move field" available from the
references menu. You can then
insert the text you want.

I am wondering if anyone has any ideas about how I can make
Endnote
assist me identify articles by the following categories,
related to the
location/existence of fulltext:

Also, if the only solution is to code a field (say, label)
with text
categories to denote this - is there an automatic way of
getting all
articles with attached images (ie. pdfs) to show the text
"attached pdf
or other doc" in the label field? Or do I have to
manually enter this?
