Did you change over from record number to label as the
identifier?

I have no idea what's going on, but I've had problems
before porting
libraries from one machine to another. Mainly they were
tedious things like
making sure I kept my record types in synch and spelled
everything the same
way when I customised fields etc. Eventually I gave up and
bought a laptop
which I could plug in at uni.
I suppose that suggests that if you did change from record
number to label,
you might try opening your library on the other computer and
follow the
exact same sequence of steps you used on the first machine.

At any rate, contact tech support.

(1) When I take my original database (with c.31,000 entries
in) from the
home PC to the office (both using Windows XP, the office on
a network) and
open it, I sometimes get a dialog along the lines of
'invalid index
deleted' (I'm not sure that's the exact wording). Now I
find that the
library is sorted differently from before (by author, year,
record no.
instead of author, title, year which I prefer) and, when I
try to re-sort
it, it gets nearly to the end and the program hangs.
