Has anyone looked at JEP-0172: User Nickname? It's a draft
now. Using
something other than vCards for the nickname is a good
thing. I have a
partial implementation in my local tree. When you change
your nick it sends
an empty message containing your nick to people who are
subscribed to you.
Do we want to implement PubSub (JEP-0060) or PEP (JEP-0163)?
Do we want to
use the "Alias" field in the account editor to
set our nickname?
