I travel pretty much and haven't had any questions asked
about the Braille
Note except when going to csun this year, they were
extremely concerned
about it.
I actually ran into a United Airlines official in Honolulu
a couple of
years ago who actually knew what it was.
Seems a college buddy had one.
I just tell them its a Braille Note and offer to demonstrate
it.

Hi: - I travel quite a bit, and of course, where I go my BN
goes too. I
usually just leave it in my backpack with the zipper open,
and let it travel
down the conveyer belt. 80% of the time nothing is
mentioned about it, and
the 20% of the time that they inquire about what it is, I
typically state
that it's a braille device, and no other questions are
asked. I've only
been asked once to remove it from the backpack, and that was
at Chicago
O'Hare when the TSA person I believe she was trying to
impress her
colleagues on how tough like a mean pit bull she could be,
so I gladly
complied by pulling it out, I no sooner had it out, when she
said in a
embarrass tone, I'm sorry, you can put it back. - Kim

I've had the opposite problem. They take out everything and
search each
item.

I just stick mine in either my computer bag or my suitcase,
which ever I'm
carrying, and don't say anything. I've never been
questioned. It should
not be damaged by the equipment they use, and if they do
want to know what
it is, all you'd need to do is tell them.

I carry so much electronic junk in my computer bag when I
travel that,
frankly, I'm amazed they've never asked what half of the
stuff is.
