ok, I don't know that it's the player. I have 9.0.35 and all of the sudden, it dies on me too.
But 5 minutes ago, it worked fine. I received SWHX/Haxe source from someone else, who compiled on their machine, and it SWHX ran fine locally. Then, I recompiled the app with Haxe and now it dies when I try to launch a second copy. If I close the first running copy, I can't seem to start a new one for sometime.
Haxe 1.12 neko 1.5.3 swhx 1.0.5.8

Uhm, that's a strange behavior. On which os are you running
the app ?
Windows ? If so, please send me sources privately so I can
give it a try
and do some debug.

Hi!
Does your SWF file run alone, without SWHX ? after you have
launched it first ?
Maybe SWHX update SWF like SW03OS did, and after that your
SWF was buggy.
There was a patch to apply to SW03OS to repair that.

eenweaver_osflash.org/2005-September/000156.html
Maybe ? :p

Thanks very much Nicolas - I've sent the files
Windows XP Pro (with latest updates) FP 9.0.35 debug player (what I've been testing with)
PS> someone asked about what SWHX uses for the player - it uses the Mozilla browser pluggin version. If you already have that installed for your browser, I believe it just uses that.

I don't seem to be able to reproduce the problem.
Win XP Pro FP 9.0.28 (I'm only using the standalone debug player)
Would you happen to have access to a PC with Visual Studio installed ?

how would I control which flash player SWHX is using? I would think I'd have to install FP 9.0.28 in my FF browser - no?
I';m not sure how you're using the standlone debug player with SWHX wrapper? If I run the SWF by itself, I can run multiple copies no problem. But I can't launch
swhx.exe 2x's
