I have used ieSpell successfully in Microsoft communities/groups for years until I uninstalled the old version and downloaded the latest version recently. ieSpell shows as a plugin addon in IE-6 and appears to work on web pages but when I try to check spelling in the message form window of MSN comms/groups after right clicking I get a menu without the ieSpell Check Spelling selection button. I know that MSN disallows user script input, could this be a problem now or have I broken something by uninstalling the old ieSpell version? Can you please help me find a solution and get my ieSpell working again? Yahoo! Hi there, The latest version of ieSpell changes the way it displays the "check spelling" right click menu item. It is now context-sensitive hence will only appear if you right click inside an editable field. However, as msn/microsoft communities and some other sites uses rich edit controls which disable the right click menu if you click inside the field, you will lose ieSpell in the right click menu altogether. You can however still access ieSpell via the menu or toolbar. In any case, if you want the old behaviour back, you will need to run this registry file to clean out the new keys. http://www.iespell.com/rel/ removeContextRCM.zip Cheers Sidney _____ From: kittypause2002 [mailto:jon702hotmail.com] Sent: Monday, 22 January, 2007 3:53 PM To: iespell@yahoogroups.com Subject: [iespell] check spelling button is missing I have used ieSpell successfully in Microsoft communities/groups for years until I uninstalled the old version and downloaded the latest version recently. ieSpell shows as a plugin addon in IE-6 and appears to work on web pages but when I try to check spelling in the message form window of MSN comms/groups after right clicking I get a menu without the ieSpell Check Spelling selection button.
