Why do you want to extend the database with a non-standard
column?
If you want to add a flag to your businessEntity elements, I
recommend
that you use a category in the category bag.
Define a tModel and specify that it is a
uddi-org:type="categorization". You can also
define valid values for
this category by also specifying
uddi-org:type="checked". This type of
tModel allows you to assign properties to other entities,
like
businessEntity.
Simply add this tModel to the categoryBag of each
businessEntity.
