See the article by Karla Hahn in the ARL Bimonthly Report
#248.

It's at: http:/
/www.arl.org/newsltr/248/licenseopt.html

A blessedly succinct, short, clear, readable statement,

Subject: university of chicago new license scheme

I have just received notice from the University of Chicago
Press that
they no longer require a formal signed license from an
institution,
replaced by "Terms and Conditions of Use of Electronic
Journals." I find
this a very interesting development.
Is this a new trend (or one solution) to licensing
challenges? (I am new
to handling licenses at my institution).

OS X builds and -DUSE-MUNMAP

Does anybody have a problem with using -DUSE_MUNMAP in the
CPPFLAGS
setting in configure.in under OS X? I talked to Paolo about
it at the
developer's meeting last month and he had said that the only
reason
it wasn't turned on was because nobody had verified that it
worked.
We (imeem) have been shipping builds of Mono with this
turned on for
a few months now, so as far as I know, it does work.
