The North American Serials Interest Group (NASIG) is pleased

announce the beginning of the application cycle for their

grants, awards, and scholarships to be awarded at the 2008
Annual=20
Conference being held at the Tapatio Cliffs Hilton
Resort,=20
Phoenix, Arizona, June 5-8, 2008.=A0 Established in 1985,
NASIG is=20
an international organization committed to promoting=20
communication and sharing of ideas among all people working
with=20
or concerned about serial publications.=A0 More information

Marcia Tuttle International Award

This award provides $2,000 in funding and a one-year
NASIG=20
membership to an individual working in any area of the
serials=20
information chain to foster international communication
and=20
education through activities involving some aspect of
serials=20
such as, but not limited to: research, collaborative
projects,=20
job exchanges, and presentation of papers at
conferences.=20
Applicants may be either serialists practicing in North
American=20
countries seeking funding for appropriate activities
involving=20
some aspect of serials taking place outside North
American=20
countries, or serialists practicing outside North
American=20
countries seeking funding for appropriate activities
involving=20
some aspect of serials in North American countries.  For

Horizon Award

The NASIG Horizon Award advances the profession by
providing=20
promising new information professionals with the opportunity

accelerate their knowledge and understanding of serials

networking and interacting with a wide range of

professionals working in all segments of the serials
information=20
chain, including vendors, publishers, and all
non-traditional=20
serialists.  The award provides registration for the 2008
Annual=20
Conference, as well as funding for travel within North
America to=20
attend the conference, conference lodging, stipend, a year's
free=20
membership in NASIG, and an invitation to serve on a
NASIG=20
