Since 2001, the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) has
provided free access to original research articles,
six-months
after publication. This free access has required individual

registration on the NEJM website.

As of December 19, 2007, the Journal now provides free
access to
original research articles (Original Articles and Special
Articles), six-months after publication, with no
registration
required.

The NEJM website hosts full-text articles from 1993 to
present.

A subscription is still required to access other Journal
content.

The Journal will continue to make articles of immediate
public
health importance available free to all visitors upon
publication.
