WMV as Source format

We currently provide some syndication partners with mpeg2
6mbps for
their own encoding whether it be for mobile, web, etc so
they can encode
how they see fit.

These files are big for uploading to our ftp server and even
worse for
the partners to download, lately we have had some requests
for wmv, I
have made some tests with wmv9 720x576 2mbps and
they look almost
identical to the mpegs.  Are there any profiles anyone can
recommend to
optimise the quality?

1-pass VBR works well for this, as you pick the quality and
the codec
uses only as many bits as needed to hit that quality level.

Using the v11 codecs is obviously recommended.

I haven't messed around much with reg key settings for this
scenario,
but general recommendations should still apply.
